The Science of riding with George H. Morris.
"The Science of Riding", a 90 minute video seminar visually covers the basic fundamentals George Morris has used in teaching Hunter Seat Madal Winners.
The video seminar consists of three half hour segments.
| Segment 1 : Introduces Morris' training theories. In this segment he discisses the basisc, including: the selection of a trainer, the correct attitude of a rider, proper attire and mounting. |
| Segment 2: Outlines the position of the rider and demonstrates the use of aids (legs, hands, weight, crop and reins). He then brings the student through the walk, trot and canter. This segment also introduces more extensive flat work (including bending, shoulder-in, haunches-in, schooling ring movements, simple changes, and flying changes). Pace and control is covered with the use of the cavalletti. |
| Segment 3: Covers basic jumping, along with an examination of common jumping faults. |
